Environmental Protection Code of Practice
High Arctic is committed to a target of zero spills, and making every effort to protect the environment in which the Company operates for the benefit of the public and future generations. The following principles shall guide the Company in our endeavours.
- Planning:
In cooperation with our clients and in the jurisdictions we operate, High Arctic will assess the potential effects of our activities on the environment, and will prevent or mitigate them to as low as reasonably possible in the planning process.
- Compliance:
High Arctic will comply with legislated, client and site specific requirements for controlling exposures and reporting spills during the execution of our operations. The Company’s operations will be monitored on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance.
- Corrective Actions:
High Arctic will correct procedures as necessary to eliminate or minimize negative effects on the environment caused by the Company as identified by our staff, our client, or government officials.
- Emergency Response:
High Arctic will maintain its emergency response plans and employee training to ensure an effective response, and minimize the consequences of emergency events.
